Not every environment is suitable for a wine fridge. There should be enough air circulation and no strong odours. Very strong smells such as detergents, fuel, cold cuts, tobacco or similar can no more be neutralised by the internal activated charcoal filters. And as the wine breathes through its cork there is a risk that it takes on these smells. Avoid placing the wine fridge on underfloor heating or in proximity of other heat sources. It can cause overheating of the motors, excessive operating and noise of the fans. If air humidity in the environment is high, there is a risk of condensation reaction.
